Thursday, June 19, 7pm: NOBS Forum at Loganberry Books: Caldecott Collecting
The Caldecott Medal is one of the most prestigious awards in children's literature worldwide. It was founded in 1938 to honor the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children. It has become one of the most collectible fields in modern books. Stories of the quest for some of these titles in true first editions (before the ubiquitous gold seal is placed on the dust jacket) can be surprising. We'll present this NOBS Forum with a panel to present various sides of the history, lore, collections, and unbelievable quest stories. Join us. $3 suggested donation.
